Patience

You hear news of the latest feature that will be in the next game-to-be. You watch the previews about the upcoming episode in that TV series you really like. You look at that cool thing you want to buy online, but know you have to save up more money first. Yeah... it's called patience. At times, I hate it.

I've noticed more and more that advertisements as of late enjoy to tease you until the release so you must buy what they are promoting. Generally it works - that is if you are interested in the product. I know when it comes to certain things, I can go crazy trying to find whatever information possible so I can make up my mind whether I want it or not. And the latest example - "No Man's Sky".

Alas, I could spend hours talking about how cool that game will be, or imagining some scenario that could possibly happen - but I will not. There are times I know I need to back off of something, and other times maybe I back off too quickly (or not quickly enough). A great example that happened recently that may have been backing off too quickly is a girl.

Yup - there's a girl I've been meaning to speak to since... I don't know, two months? Yeah, a few times I chickened out, and the rest of the time I mean to, I can't because of one thing or another (many times because she isn't there). But I did - eventually! But (surprise), I froze when I heard something I didn't even expect her to say - something that didn't cross my mind. The words, "Sorry, but I don't really know you." Yeah, I should have actually expected that, especially since it's a fact. She doesn't know me (besides my name, when I talked to her), and I don't know her (not even her name). So in the end, it was more likely than not inevitable. But I did it! But maybe I backed off too quickly.

I can't know honestly, as I would have to continue going to actually know that, and that time is passed. But hey - I overcame a personal challenge, and maybe my patience will pay off - maybe not. But in the end, I feel that patience is a personal test to see how well you can handle things, ranging from unexpected events to the longest waits you know you'd have to endure. Patience makes you a better person, and I'm glad I'm challenged to keep that patience.

More things learned about me:
- Patience is not my strong suit, but I know it's good for me.
- I can fail at life :D But don't we all?
