Yep - it's February 13th, the day before Valentines Day. My college likes to celebrate Singles Awareness Week (the day before National "Wear a condom day") during Safe Sex Week. Awesome. For couples, it's fine getting bombarded by condoms and lube that could very well be used. For us single people, it's like the walk of shame. Free condom? Too bad it won't be used anytime soon :D
ANYWAYS, being serious again, it is Singles Awareness Day. I wouldn't say it royally sucks, because you are still you and in (generally) 100% control of yourself. You own you, and today's the day to show it! And if you're not wanting to be single, today is also a great day to see who's in the same boat as you.
So yeah, short and sweet. Thanks U of I for making me remember I'm single.
